About Us and
Our Sport Horses
New Beginnings - Our journey in breeding warmblood sporthorses was launched in 1992. I was attending the Olympic trials in Orlando, Florida, and was introduced to the exciting world of warmblood horses by a very knowledgeable person. This person is Judy Yancey, of Yancey Farms (currently in Ocala, Florida). Judy was instrumental in my education and has become a wonderful friend, confidant and advisor. She has been importing frozen semen for many years and is a leader in the field. She has graciously shared her experience and knowledge of over 30 years. Much of what I learned from her has made my own breeding experiences successful.

Double 07 - championship win |
At Judy's recommendation, we decided our first warmblood cross would be with a young stallion in Germany named Donnerschlag who is a Donnerhall son. We chose my best mare, a Polish Arabian named Wuarantee (Antee) and began our adventure. My veternarian at the time was Dr. Dawn McLane
and she had never experienced breeding with frozen semen. Though she was somewhat doubtful about the possibilities, she was up for the challenge! We very carefully followed the directions (praying a lot along the way!!) and Dr. McLane inseminated the mare.
WOW.... 18 DAYS LATER....she was in foal on the first breeding. We were estatic!! The result was a gorgeous grey colt named Double 07. We were totally sold on the warmblood cross. We took Antee and Double 07 to the Oldenburg inspection in Palm Beach and Antee was graded as "Premium"....she was the only mare that day that was given a premium.
Double 07 was a yearling and received the highest score of the day. Antee has blessed us with 6 warmblood cross foals since then, and the show results for all her foals have been incredible....with three attaining Championships at the national level. A fourth champion has proven his ability and we expect a national title from him in 2006. In addtion to Double 07 Antee produced a filly by Hailo (Trakehner), three colts by Riverman (Holsteiner) and a filly by FeinerStern (Oldenburg). Antee is 22 years old (as of 2006), in good health and enjoying retirement at our Georgia farm. She will live on through her exceptional offspring for many years to come.
We have grown over the years and acquired four warmblood broodmares, one from Holland, one from Germany, an imported Trakehner and a Holsteiner (purchased from Hilltop Farm). We have expanded our goals to breeding the highest quality warmbloods using bloodlines that are tried and true. We are in our 24th year as breeders and have enjoyed the births of many wonderful foals along the way.
